My kids

Let me take a moment to say that even though parenting is hard, I love my kids. They're both so great.

Haley is reading very well lately. She can pull a children's book off the shelf and read most of the words now. She can read a little of her Charlotte's Web chapter book, too. She loves helping with her sister, sometimes too much (I have to ask her to put Amaryn down quite frequently). Today Haley is with Ethan at work. Ethan has surgery days every Tuesday, which is usually when we have GIFT. However this week, there is no GIFT, so she went with him. She went with him a couple weeks ago, too. She LOVES animals and gets so excited going with him. Tonight, she'll sleep over at my parents' house. I really miss her! I'm so used to having her with me pretty much every time except when she has dance or a co-op class. She's going to have so much fun, though. She was SO excited to sleep over there.

Amaryn is talking more and makes me laugh quite a bit. She seems to have no fear and climbs everything, runs away in crowded places, says hi to strangers in the store. She's so funny. Ethan taught Amaryn to do "cute face" so we'll ask Amaryn to see her cute face and she smiles, blinks her eyes, and scrunches her nose. She loves dinosaurs lately. We've read "Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp" at least 4 or 5 times today. She also loves "Brown Bear" and will finish each phrase with an enthusiastic "DEE!" when I pause "brown bear brown bear what do you.."
